Beginnings

In 1971, having already acquired a large experience and knowledge in the field of office equipment, Mr. Jean Guy Grégoire decided to launch his own enterprise under the name of “DACTYLOGRAPHE MÉTROPOLE INC.”, a well-chosen name that represented the extensive work of the new company.
At the beginning, the Company focused on office equipment, offering its customers a complete line of office equipment including typewriters, calculators, copiers and related furniture.
The Expansion
During the 80’s, under the skilful management of Mr. Michel Grégoire, expert in the use of computers for management, its clientele saw the implementation of the first computers.
DMI Bureautique (DMIB), the new name of the enterprise to better identify its new business objectives, quickly realises that the future of the office equipment heads towards data management by computers.
Then, as a pioneer, DMIB orients its expansion towards the professional services to quickly become the leader in its sector. The enterprise offers to its faithful customers the most modern office automation equipment and quality services that made its reputation to this day.

Today, DMIB is an authorized reseller of “Compaq”, “HP” and “Seanix” computers and of “Lexmark” and “Hewlett-Packard” high quality printers. These products are supported by a team of technical specialists, who have practical experience in office automation operating under “Microsoft” or “Novell”, in business automation and in management automation using ‘Windows’ (‘NT’, ‘2000’) and UNIX/Linux operating systems, in Web programming and design. In addition, DMIB offers hosting services and on-line training programs for all the services it provides. Finally, DMIB can install and maintain the “Mitchell” applications across the Province of Quebec, implement wireless communication equipment and help you along in the implementation of ‘Avantage’ and ‘Fortune 1000 Acomba’ accounting software.
